Definition of Time Management
What is Time Management ?
- Time Management is refers to a process that required to ensure timely the quality of our project . It is a process on how we organize our life through 24 hours that we have in a day. Without time management our lifestyle might be unorganized and might lead us to higher stress levels and poor work quality.
- The importance of time management is will greater our opportunities to achieve important life and career goals.
So basically all human beings need to have a good time management in their life as this will helps us organize our activities in our life style. Good time management not only covers in works or studies but also in our daily life. In facts, as a human being it is hard for us to manage our time without schedule because we cant predict how to divides our time. Thus, we have to plan our time management effectively as this will overcome all of our problem in forgetting or timeless.
Therefore, In this topic i would like to focus on time management that i have learnt. Throughout the UED102 class i learnt that we need to always optimize and organize our time as this will actually affect our daily life.
Strategies To Develop A Successful System of Study
A successful System of Study is when we manage our time well during studies. Thus, we need to use time management strategies to stay motivated. Example of time management strategies such as Weekly Schedule, Daily planner, Semester Calendar etc.
5 Strategies to develop a successful system of study are as follows :
- Use a weekly schedule – this is because weekly schedule or planning help us to have a work-life balance and become more productive.

- Use a daily planner – this allows us to schedule each event, appointment and task to help us stay on track so that we will have more time for ourself.

- Use a semester calendar – this provides opportunity for students thorough examination of subject so that making it possible for them to cover up all the chapter before the examination.

- Balance academic with social and personal demands – this will help develop habits in manage our time effectively thus, our life become less stress and more fun.
- Avoid Procrastination – this will help us to increase our self-control and have no regards to desire our delay.
Procrastination is an attitude of delay work or something that should be done.

Common reasons why people Procrastination are as follows :
- Being lazy
- Being rebellious
- Being perfectionist
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Avoiding Success
Advantages of Being Organized:
- Keep on schedule and finish before the deadline
- Reduce stress cause by anxiety of your unfinished work
- Complete your work with less pressure
- Build Confidence on your ability to manage your work
- Avoid overlapping unfinished work
Strategies to Overcome Procrastination and Reducing Procrastination are as follows :
- Make sure all of our work are manageable
- Change up our surroundings that can lead us to laziness
- Manage our time wisely and prevent delay our work
- Minimize distractions on our surroundings during finish our work
- Hang out with like-minded people so that we wont affected
Fixed-Commitment Calendar
Fixed-Commitment Calendar is a tool which help you account for all of your time, so you will be less likely to waste time.
This is my own Fixed-Commitment Calendar that i made :

Based on my Fixed-Commitment Calendar i realized that i have no enough time to do my own revision during the lecture week. I only have 3 hours to study at night. This is because on the day i have many classes that i should attend but i can still manage my time to study at night. However, during weekend i have many hours available for study so i will use this opportunity to study hard. By doing my own Fixed-Commitment Calendar, i now can predict my time effieciently.
Job Task Analysis
Job Task Analysis are used to analyze what tasks within a job role are most important for us. This helps us to predict which job we must finish up first.
This is my Job Task Analysis that i wrote :

Based on the picture above, I am currently spend a reasonable time for everything and just minimal time wastage. I’m glad that i can actually manage my time well, i hope i can maintain this good time division throughout the whole semester without ruining my pointer.

Based on Prioritized Task List above, i can conclude that this helps me to stay on the right track without forget anything. By doing this list, i can determine that i am really can manage myself at the right direction without wastage of time and energy. I hope i can continue on doing this throughout all the semester so that i can manage myself well too.
